Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez is a popular Mexican-American actress singer and writer. Her mother raised her in the USA and she was subject to numerous racial slurs that made her feel like a non-person. It was in her ninth grade that she gained confidence following her acclaim in an audition. This not only increased her confidence but was also a change in the direction she pursued in her professional career. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she began her journey on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, at 23 years old she made her film debut in You've received mail. The biggest accomplishment of her career occurred with her portrayal of The Lady of The Lake on Spamalot's original Broadway production. Not only did she win the Tony Award, but her performance was also highly praised by the critics. The recognition grew even more by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. In addition to being an acclaimed singer she released a solo and an extended piece. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
