Tina and Amanda

Tina Louise was an American actor, singer and writer who is best recognized in the role of Ginger Grant from the TV series Gilligan's Island. Bettle's Two's Company musical was the first stage production in which she appeared when she made her stage debut. In the 1950s she performed as a stage performer in several Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner' in 1957. In the same calendar year she released her first music album called It's Tina Time. Her first appearance into Hollywood was when she played Griselda in God's Little Acre which was a 1958 drama. The film received widespread applause. Louise won the Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the year category. When she was in New York, Louise enrolled in Actors Studio and began her friendship to Lee Strasberg. Louise joined CBS in 1964 as Ginger Grant. Louise Balfour managed to play between Broadway and Hollywood portraying somber character as contrast to her image of the glamorous model. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. Recently Tapping has also emerged as an acclaimed director of well-known television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on August 28 on the 28th of August, 1965. Her family later relocated to Toronto to spend her youth. Samantha Carter was chosen in 1997 for the part and has been settling down in Toronto ever since.
